Feb 11th Workshop, integrating knee function.

Melbourne workshop @ chapel st 11/02/12Chapel Street Centre 11am to 4pm bookings essential (e-mail) $120.00

February Workshop will be investigating the dynamic relationships your knee has with your ankle, your hip joint, your foot and your lower back. Of all the joints in the body, the knees are said to be the most abused joints of all, this is largely because it's only a hinge joint so it's at the mercy of the reciprocal function of the joints above. If the hip joint is tight or the ankle is stiff, shearing stress can develop in the knee. MORE

Breathing involves over 104 joints and 60 muscles.

Breathing evolved as we subjected ourselves to the full force of gravity and atmospheric pressure.

2
The pelvis has the potential to move in an infinite number of planes. It is connected to all the largest, most powerful muscles in the body.

The pelvis is central to all movement.

3
The thoracic, cervical spine and the shoulder girdle are used in our culture firstly for emotional expression and secondly for physical function.

This is probably one reason lower backs complain from overuse.
